A Little Nook For Reading Books

As a child, I loved to find a little nook for reading books. A reading nook, to me, is a quiet spot to escape into some magic land of vibrant characters and fantasy. It can be an entire room such as a study or library or just a little cozy corner to curl up in. That love of reading books hasn’t changed for me, I try to find an hour or so a day to lose myself in a good book in a quiet little nook.

As much as I love reading books, I also love the look of a room filled with books, a place you can go and sit and read undisturbed for hours! It used to be that libraries/study areas were dark wood paneled almost ominous spaces with a masculine feel reflected in the decor. Not anymore, if you are lucky enough to have a room dedicated for this then you are fortunate. Nowadays people are dedicating shelves lined with books and treasures to wherever they can find the space. Besides the convenience of housing all those treasured reads, the look has become quite popular and I for one am loving it!

Here are a few of my favorites ranging from full rooms to tiny little found spaces, traditional to more modern, whatever you fancy, I hope your next read is a quiet relaxing one no matter where that space is!

I’d love to know if you have a specific nook that you love to curl up to read a good book.
