A big part of having the perfect home interior isn’t only about renovation and decoration – (although it is a huge part of it) it’s also about home maintenance and keeping everything clean. Being proactive with home maintenance in the home is key to running the household, and of course key to making it look good.
You should try and take the cleaning and home maintenance in your own hands, but keep yourself open into outsourcing it. There are plenty of people you can pay if you can’t find the time. However, you should endeavor to take the maintenance of the home seriously!
With that in mind, let’s take a look at the one of the biggest issues that faces interiors right now.
Moisture
Moisture should be an issue relegated to the exterior of the home, but damp and mold can find their way, uninvited, into the inside of a property. In some cases, mold can be a huge threat to health in the home – so it is a pretty serious problem. Humidity and damp thrive in rooms like the bathroom and kitchen, so in some cases it’s worth being proactive about what you can do to remove moisture. De-humidifiers are great and nano glass coating on showers can ensure that water doesn’t hold and mark the glass covering a shower.
If there is a particularly nasty patch of mold (black, large, seeping) – call in a professional right away. This type of mold can be dangerous to health and shouldn’t be tackle by someone with no experience. These health hazards need to be identified and removed professionally.
There are plenty of other problems you can encounter inside the house, but cleaning is the remedy!
Sparkling Clean
Cleaning of course is a huge chore – there’s always something that needs to be wiped down. It’s a never-ending task but if you neglect to deal with small issues, you’ll turn a molehill into a mountain. To tackle cleaning in the household, do a little bit every day. Big blowouts often are good, but not if you’re not doing a little bit of dusting here and there in between massive sweeps of the house. The best way to clean your house is to stick to a system. If you’re doing things spontaneously, that’s good – but you can lose track of yourself and your time. Time is valuable when cleaning, so make sure you stick to a regime to increase your cleaning speed and efficiency. You’ll get faster as you progress. Cleaning the top of the house first is also the best way forward. That way, you don’t knock dirt and dust into the clean bottom of the house.
Cleaning Supplies
It’s worth keeping a good stock of cleaning products available – from wipes right through to the broom. If you’re equipped, you’ve got every reason to succeed! Of course, some of these products are harmful when inhaled, so read up before you start spraying around.
If you’re a bit iffy at the interior of your home, hold your horses! It might just need a good clean and a bit of maintenance than a total renovation!
